Town of Yaremche, the capital of popular Carpathian tourism, celebrated its 225 birthday during last weekend.The official show part was called ‘Our heroes: Oleksa Dovbush and Opryshky’. There was much spoken and presented about the Hutsul legends, about Oleksa Dovbush, this famous Ukrainian fellow of Robin Hood, and his outlaws, big stage peformance about Dovbush and Opryshky.
One of the most famous Ukrainian grand singer Taras Petrynenko and Tetyana Horobets came to entertain people of Yarenche during their city birthday.
Gala-concert of The First Carpathian Arts Festival CarpatyArthshowed the best works of participating artists.
Yaremche has the largest number of hotels, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, markets, tourist services, sightseeing places, B&Bs and resorts in the Carpathians. It is well connected with Ivano-Frankivsk, from where you can get by bus, train, taxi. It is only 55km away from Ivano-Frankivsk city and international airport.
Yaremche was a popular tourist destination since 1970s, and now the number of visitors constantly grows. There are all types of venues in Yarenche, from moderately priced to expencive. From this town you can easily get to a big all-year-round mountain resort Bukovel (popular with skiiers), nice Carpathian towns Mykoolychyn, Tatariv, Vorokhta, Verkhovyna, Yabloonytsia.
